James Anderson’s career has gone on to new heights and success recently. He has just won bowler of the year at the Ceat Awards, Mumbai on November 19, 2011. Jimmy Anderson is also a fan of Trion:Z, which makes us very proud. You can see him wearing the Dual Loop Patriot bracelet below!
Here’s our James Anderson interview:
How did you hear about Trion:Z and long have you being wearing their products?
I’ve worn Trion:Z for the last 4 years which has coincided with a great period in my career. I can’t actually remember how I was first introduced to the products, I’m just pleased it happened.
What do you feel are the main benefits to you of wearing Trion:Z?
Since wearing Trion:Z products I haven’t been injured much which is a huge part of my success.
When did your passion for cricket start?
I always been passionate about sport in general, but one of my earliest memories is watching my dad play cricket and I was hooked from then.
Who is your cricketing hero and why?
I admired someone like Darren Gough for the energy and enthusiasm he brought to the game, plus he was a half decent bowler!!!
How do you keep yourself in shape when you aren’t playing?
I follow a fitness programme put together by the ECB medical team, and I work closely with the Strength & Conditioning coach at Lancashire.
What has been the highlight of your career?
Both the Ashes wins I was involved in in 2009 and 2010/11
How did you recover from your stress fracture back in 2006?
I had to wear a corset for 6 weeks, followed by a strict rehabilitation programme. I also had to change my bowling action slightly.
Who is the scariest batsman you have ever come up against?
Matthew Hayden. He had great presence at the crease and always looked to attack.
Who is the most intimidating bowler you have ever batted against?
Shoaib Akhtar. I faced him under lights in Pakistan and couldn’t see the ball!!
What’s your top tip for budding young cricketers?
Try and always enjoy the game. I hate to see young players put too much pressure on themselves.
Who do you have your eye on as the next big English cricketing star?
Simon Kerrigan at Lancashire.
Playing Australia, … there’s always lot’s of backchat between the two teams, how do manage to control your anger on the pitch?
I work with the England psychologist on how to keep my cool in the heat of the moment. It is really important to control your emotions so you can control on your skills.
What’s the best bit of sledging you’ve ever heard?
Sorry to disappoint but during my playing days most of it has been pretty brainless.
What’s next for Jimmy Anderson?
Hopefully more success with England in all formats of the game. Staying as the number ranked team in the world in Test matches is huge but I’d love to win the World Cup as well.
If you really want to give your performance a boost, you should follow Jimmy’s lead and consider the benefits of a magnetic therapy bracelet from Trion:Z. You can buy one here.
