Anna Lovelock is a personal trainer and well-known Pilates instructor whose seemingly lifelong passion for sports and fitness has resulted in her inspiring many into becoming fitter and improving their sporting performance.
Alongside working with tennis professionals, the England rugby team and Olympic medallists, Anna’s latest venture is being the master trainer for ThinQFitness, an online fitness provider and the launch of the highly innovate ThinQ Fitness app, which means you can literally workout wherever and whenever you want to.
Trion Z had the pleasure of interviewing Anna to talk daily diets, keeping fit and the highly anticipated ThinQ Fitness app!
I loved, and participated in sport as a child, though I didn’t at the time equate it to “health and fitness”, just fun. I started going to Pineapple Dance at 18. Jane Fonda had just released her Aerobic Workout. I loved the class concept and wanted to get involved.
I have been a Fitness Instructor for 31 years and Personal Trainer for about 15 of those.
From working with members of the England Rugby squad to Olympic medallists, what has been the highlight of your career to date?
I can’t name a particular highlight, however, what has been a revelation to me is how much, after all these years I can still love and be inspired by my job. Ideas in health and fitness are constantly changing, and as an Instructor you need to learn and adapt.

Top personal trainer Fred Ferge has pioneered a new breed of Fitness Studio founded on an ethos of holistic health and well-being. Fred Ferge Fitness with Style is an exclusive private studio gym located in the heart of the beautiful Battersea Reach development on the River Thames, and is, on all accounts, causing quite a stir on the London fitness scene.
Trion Z caught up with this pioneering Mr Ferge and talked holistic health, magnets, and what’s his secret behind those bulging biceps!
What and who inspired you to become interested in fitness and holistic health?
When I came to London I decided to improve my skill in Dance, using “Pineapple” Studio in coven garden, and “Dance Work” in bond street about 3 time a week, I loved it, my dance teacher was great, my main style of dance was Street dance and Jazz.
Then I decided I wanted to teach Dance, but then very slowly I was getting fitter and fitter and started enjoying aerobic classes in the gym, its only then it occurred to me I really like Fitness and everything with it. My passion for fitness is complemented by my love of art, dancing, and choreography.
Bespoke fitness is one of the fastest growing health trends in town, but how do you compare what you do with others?
What you provide to your clients must be different, so by creating “Fred Ferge Fitness with style”, I wanted to get a much personal approach to Fitness compared to “Virgin” and “Fitness First”.
My approach to fitness & holistic training, combine a life change solution for clients. My vision aspires to transform our community by helping individual’s to live healthier lives.
I aspire to teach people strategies to deal with their stress themselves and that healing and feeling comes from within, so this is not just about exercise only we must combine it with a much personal approach.
Combining both by really trying to understand each client’s situation from the time they wake up in the morning.
In what ways does your fitness studio combine fitness and holistic health?
Posture: by understanding how the bodywork, improves, increase flexibility and balance, promotes inner healing and well being.
Revive: by improving strength and Core.
Relax: by easing muscular pain through aromatherapy or Sport massage and then Restore to a new you. “Keep an Active mind, Combine Mind & Body, Improve Strength & Core Muscle” That’s the way I see it…
Have you ever used, or would consider using magnetic therapy to improve health, fitness and wellbeing?
I am completely open for anything new; the beauty of our industry is there is a lot of recherché and new solutions, new technique, and equipment it just keep improving and it’s great.
Your London fitness centre has an emphasis on group exercising. In what ways can exercising in groups be more effective than exercising alone?
This can be a great way to motivate some clients, knowing they can be push with others people at the same time.
You are in great shape yourself? What does a typical day’s diet consist of?
After 7 to 8 hours sleep:
Morning: one cup of green tea
Early morning, Porridge + vitamins capsule
Mid morning: Scramble egg, brown toast, and organic beans
Workout: Training 45 min
Protein shake,
Lunch: often, brown rice, veggie, and I love chicken

No matter how energetic and full of beans we can feel in the morning, we can all experience a 4pm slump! British nutrition expert Claire Harper aims at eradicating society’s seemingly widespread post-lunch, mid-afternoon slump with nutrition.
Trion Z caught up with Claire to talk about tips of improving wellbeing, magnetic therapy as a means of improving one’s health, and her own personal diet to triumph over the perils of today’s corporate lifestyles.
When and why did you become interested in health and nutrition?
I used to work in public relations on health, beauty and food brands, part of the job meant reading a lot of health sections in magazines and newspapers, which I devoured. It slowly dawned on me that I was more interested in health and nutrition than organising another launch of another product. To me, this career is far more rewarding than slogging it in the corporate world, getting stressed and not sleeping well.
You are on both the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) practitioner registers, what complementary and natural healthcare methods do you recommend or practise for improving one’s health and wellbeing?
I believe in looking at the whole person, their health history, lifestyle and any other factors that may have influenced their symptoms or hindered achievement of their goals. Working to support the body’s systems with targeted nutrition can unlock the body’s own ability to heal itself, re-balance and achieve wellbeing.
Have you ever, or would you consider, using magnetic therapy as an alternative health treatment to improve wellbeing, or to overcome certain health conditions such as insomnia?
Last year some very compelling research came out about wearing magnets in the underwear as an alternative treatment for menopause symptoms! With the menopause, there are so many different approaches, herbal, nutritional, pharmaceutical, and unfortunately it tends to be trial and error as to what works for each woman, so I am very open minded about the magnet concept.
On your website thenutritionguide.co.uk you talk about how damaging today’s ‘fast-paced corporate environment’ can be to our health. What does your typical day’s diet consist of?
The food I eat can sometimes be time-consuming, but I enjoy the whole process of shopping, chopping and cooking. If people have less time, or hate cooking I’m always ready to suggest alternative options such as where you can buy a good salad at lunchtime or quick and easy dinners.
Breakfast: I make a smoothie with frozen berries, half a banana, oatmilk, a scoop of protein powder and top up with water. If there’s time I’ll also poach an egg and have it on its own – I try not to eat wheat as my daily routine, so no bread!
Lunch: Usually a salad of some variety, the more ingredients the better, and in a variety of colours. E.g. avocado, rocket, tomatoes, olives, peppers. Ideally there should be a protein component, which might be a handful of pine nuts, toasted seeds, some goats cheese, feta, tuna or roast chicken.
Dinner: Salmon and roast veg is a favourite, or a hearty soup (tonight I had pumpkin, chestnut and porcini mushroom with pearl barley – a Jamie Oliver recipe).
What nutritional advice would you give to, for example, somebody who works for nine hours a day in an office, to keep their energy levels up and stay at peak performance throughout the day?

We couldn’t be prouder of Trion:Z company spokesperson Rory McIlroy, who became the World’s #1 golfer after beating his childhood hero Tiger Woods at the Honda Classic.
Rory McIlroy has been a longtime advocate of Trion:Z by Colantotte. When Rory won the US Open last year he wore a Colantotte TAO necklace, and for the Honda Classic he reverted to his trustee Trion:Z Active bracelet.
“Trion:Z is an important tool that gives me great confidence in my abilities on and off the course,” stated McIlroy. His calm, consistent and confident approach was certainly a major factor at the Honda Classic.
During the Honda Classic Championship, which saw Mcilroy’s two-stroke victory propel him to the No. 1 position in the world golf rankings, Rory even co-ordinated his Trion:Z Active wristband with each days golf apparel and logos!
According to Trion:Z CEO, “Rory’s quest to become the best player in the world started when he was young but the Trion:Z team watched in awe at his golfing dominance at the Hong Kong Open. We knew it was just a matter of time until he became the #1 golfer in the world. We congratulate Rory on his historical win and rise in the rankings. We value his partnership and it is a privilege to have him on the Trion:Z team.”
The Trion:Z Active Series is a collection of colorful, stylish, and waterproof silicone wristband that combines Trion:Z’s negative ion and magnetic technology.
Trion:Z wristbands and necklaces are made with negative ion producing minerals as well as axially magnetized magnets in a unique Alternating North-South Polarity Orientation (ANSPO™) to maximize the magnetic field flow.

Scott Bryant, often referred to as ‘The Body Mechanic’ is not like your ‘conventional’ personal trainer!
In creating a unique workout system that focuses on looking at every aspect of health and wellbeing, from what you eat, how you breathe and how the gut works, Scott Bryant is renowned through the world of celebrities and professional sportsmen and women for ‘achieving results’.
Trion Z catches up with The Body Mechanic to talk CHEK, nutrition, celebrities and magnetic therapy.
At what age did you become interested in holistic medicine, health and fitness?
I was 19 when I started to look in to it seriously. I did a lot of weight training and body building and lots of my friends were all looking for something new to get into which would keep them fit, health and looking great in a safe way. It was around this time that a friend told me about the CHEK system I was, at the time working as a doorman, and knew I didn’t want to be doing it for the rest of my life becoming a CHEK practitioner seemed like the perfect choice for me.
You are an integrative, holistic CHEK Practitioner. Can you explain what exactly a CHEK Practitioner is?
CHEK practitioner is someone who cares deeply about health and wellness, inside and outside of the body. We have to train and study hard for about 6 years learning everything about the body, we go deeper than most personal trainers and look into everything from diet, lifestyle, metabolic type, posture, hormone imbalance, even gut worms! (Which, by the way, most people have and don’t even realise) We also look into the spiritual, mental and emotional side of the body, mapping out everything until we find out where the pain is coming from, so we can cure it.
In what ways is your approach to training and fitness goals, that incorporate various wellbeing elements, including diet, mental fitness, emotional control, posture and holistic therapy, more effective in achieving fitness goals than simply working out down the gym every day?
We treat everyone as individuals! Everyone is unique, feels different, looks different, IS different and one program that works for one, certainly won’t work for another. We ensure that all programs are tailor-made to each individual. When we take a client on, we care immensely about them and want them to achieve their goals as much as they do.
Many sports professionals and celebrities, such as Jennifer Lopez, are reported to be fans of your approach to weight loss and fitness goals. Why do you think your method is so appealing to sports professionals and celebrities?
