Mini exercise bikes are quickly becoming a buzz word in the world of health and fitness, with the advantages being multiple. If you are unsure what the benefits are of owning such a device, then read on as we explore the marvels of a mini exercise bike.
Don’t require much space
Conventional exercise bikes, similar to conventional bikes, are bulky, heavy items which require a lot of space in a home or an office. If you simply don’t have this space, mini exercise bikes can be a great alternative. These clever exercise machines are light and compact and will easily fit inside a cupboard or under the bed, meaning you can discreetly store them without taking up valuable space.
You can burn calories in the luxury of your own home
Instead of having to wait for a dry day, being limited to cycling at times when it is light outside and dangerously competing with cars for road space, with a mini exercise bike you can cycle at your leisure, anytime of the day in the comfort of your own living room.
With a mini exercise bike you will burn the same amount of calories that you would risking life and limb cycling on the road and the same amount as you would burn by pedalling on a bigger stationary exercise bike.
With a mini exercise bike you can also exercise whilst carrying out other tasks, such as being on the telephone, on the computer or watching TV, effectively ‘killing two birds with one stone!’

During the 1970s, both magnetic therapy and electromagnetic machines became popular methods amongst athletes to help relieve the aches, pains and injuries inflicted by their sport, as well as improving performance and was particularly endorsed by golfers and tennis players.
But what may have been just a fleeting fad is proving to last the test of time as four decades later, athletes of all sports, abilities and ages are still reaping the unique benefits magnetics can bring to a sportsman or woman.
From the top English cricketer Paul Collingwood and his victorious captain Andrew Strauss, to the English rugby union player Chris Jones, there is a growing trend for top athletes to be seen sporting a magnetic bracelet on their wrist.
Not to mention Trion:Z’s own company spokesperson Rory McIlroy who just became the World’s number 1 golfer, seen wearing both a Colantotte TAO necklace and a Trion:Z Active bracelet.
This trend has inevitably been filtered down to the public as a whole, as enthusiastic fan eagerly copy their sporting heroes by also donning a magnetic bracelet. In fact, according to USA Today, U.S. consumers will spend an average of $500 million a year on magnetic products, with magnetic bracelets being a leading product in the race to reap the benefits magnets can bring to one’s health and wellbeing.
But why do athletes wear magnetic bracelets? The reasons why so many top athletes around the world seem enthusiastic to wear magnetic bracelets and proudly display them in public has been analysed and contested.
Dinnie Pearson, a Cranial-Sacral therapist, spoke of how athletes’ use of magnetic bracelets is endorsed through “mental imagery”.
Greg Westwood, a somantic psychotherapist at the Naropa Institute in Boulder, Colorado, believes the reason why so many top athletes wear magnetic bracelets is because they are not afraid of ‘taking risks’ with their bodies.

We couldn’t be prouder of Trion:Z company spokesperson Rory McIlroy, who became the World’s #1 golfer after beating his childhood hero Tiger Woods at the Honda Classic.
Rory McIlroy has been a longtime advocate of Trion:Z by Colantotte. When Rory won the US Open last year he wore a Colantotte TAO necklace, and for the Honda Classic he reverted to his trustee Trion:Z Active bracelet.
“Trion:Z is an important tool that gives me great confidence in my abilities on and off the course,” stated McIlroy. His calm, consistent and confident approach was certainly a major factor at the Honda Classic.
During the Honda Classic Championship, which saw Mcilroy’s two-stroke victory propel him to the No. 1 position in the world golf rankings, Rory even co-ordinated his Trion:Z Active wristband with each days golf apparel and logos!
According to Trion:Z CEO, “Rory’s quest to become the best player in the world started when he was young but the Trion:Z team watched in awe at his golfing dominance at the Hong Kong Open. We knew it was just a matter of time until he became the #1 golfer in the world. We congratulate Rory on his historical win and rise in the rankings. We value his partnership and it is a privilege to have him on the Trion:Z team.”
The Trion:Z Active Series is a collection of colorful, stylish, and waterproof silicone wristband that combines Trion:Z’s negative ion and magnetic technology.
Trion:Z wristbands and necklaces are made with negative ion producing minerals as well as axially magnetized magnets in a unique Alternating North-South Polarity Orientation (ANSPO™) to maximize the magnetic field flow.

The well-known and long-established saying “prevention is always better than cure”, can certainly be applied to sports injuries.
If you are a runner and have ever been plagued by an injury, you will understand the weeks of misery, boredom and frustration that accompany the injury, and you will be keen on not to pick up another sports injury.
This is where a new sporting app for runners, the Run Injury Free app, may help. This innovative app diagnoses injuries before they even happen and if you do have an injury, it will advise you of the best practical ways to accelerate recovery.
Designed specifically for runners, this fully-fledged GPS running app focuses, not only on improving a runner’s performance like many other sports apps do, but also on improving the health of a runner.
The app consists of five special running modes with audio feedback, including the “Just Run” mode, which essentially records your time, distance, energy, and pace in real time, as well as your present location on a GPS map. The new sporting app for runners includes a “Walk/run” mode, which is designed for more ‘novice’ runners who want to combine both walking and running to increase their endurance.
The third mode is the “Pace Training”, which gives you both audio and visual feedback about training goals ahead of an impending race. The “Interval Training” is essentially a coach for when you are training to increase your speed. And finally, the “Beat Yourself” mode, a highly motivational setting that encourages you to beat your personal best.
On top of these performance enhancing modes, the Run Injury Free app informs users of knowledge that will decrease their chances of obtaining an injury.
These injury prevention techniques include 10 basic rules to reducing the risk of running injuries, a diagnosis of injuries before they occur, including potential problems with the ankles, knees, feet, hip, back and shins and the stretches you need to perform to help prevent problems in these areas arising.

The Arva Axis Avalanche Transceiver – Skiing safety equipment at its most advanced.
Since the 1950s, avalanche-related fatalities have been on the rise and according to geography.about.com, avalanches claim approximately 150 lives each year worldwide and hundreds more are injured by being trapped in an avalanche.
The Alpine countries of Switzerland, Italy, France and Austria experience the greatest number of avalanches and loss of life by avalanches in the world each year.
Without meaning to alarm you, if you are off on a skiing holiday this winter then you may be interested in taking the Axis, one of the most advanced skiing safety equipment on the market, which, without seeming paranoid, could help to save the lives on anyone who has got into trouble off piste.
Designed by snow safety specialists Arva, the Axis is the company’s third avalanche transceiver to be launched, its predecessors proving to be extremely popular in both Europe and the US, a popularity that can be pinned primarily on its user-friendly interface.
This highly sophisticated avalanche transceiver enables skiers and rescuers to locate anyone who may be buried in an avalanche. Featuring both analog and digital search modes, the Axis is able to search an area of 50 square metres and detect multiple victims.
Being powered by the latest 16 bit processor, the latest Axis avalanche transceiver provides real time direction and distance information, which could prove to be crucial in complex search situations.
