Avengers Assemble has broken all previous box office records by taking over $200 million at the US box office on its opening weekend, but that figure is dwarfed by the true cost of the Avengers battle of Manhattan, were the Avengers to be real life superheroes!
Yes, that’s right! If the battle in Manhattan against Loki and his alien pals was real, experts have estimated the real financial costs involved.
That Hulk is a clumsy oaf! Check out the estimated costs from damage experts Kinetic Analysis Corp, totalling over $160 billion (£99 billion).
Physical damage to Manhattan $60-70 billion (£37-43 billion).
Clean-up costs $90 billion (£55 billion)
This fictional estimate of the Avengers battle doesn’t include loss of lives, so the figure would go right beyond $160 billion….ouch.
With such a huge pay-out, you can imagine insurers would be checking their small print. With the battle being against Loki (a Nordic Deity), they would probably use their ‘act of God’ trump card!
You can get your hands on an Avengers Assemble Colantotte MagTitan Neo Legend Magnetic Therapy Bracelet as worn by Tony Stark in the film HERE.
You could even win one as we are giving away one every Friday on the Trion:Z facebook page for the next three weeks!
You can see some of the Avengers battle damage to Manhattan in the trailer below. If you have seen the film, enjoy this reminder of a true great. If you haven’t seen Avengers Assemble yet, you need to!

As many as one in seven children in the UK suffer from asthma and according to Asthma Statistics, in 2009 approximately 24.6 million people in the United States and an estimated 300 million people worldwide suffered from asthma.
For years controlling and managing the condition has been fundamentally reliant on steroids and inhalers. There is currently however a new and more ‘kinder’ treatment for asthma sweeping across the US, bio-magnetic healing, which, according to WorldWideHealth.com, has shown truly impressive results in treating childhood asthma.
Magnetic therapy for asthma? Read on….
According to research carried out in the US and that was published on WorldWideHealth.com, this completely natural and non-invasive alternative treatment resulted in than 75% of children who wear magnets rarely using inhalers again.
In placing a tiny magnet on a child’s chest at night, held in place by some surgical tape, the magnet opens up the alveoli, giving the lungs up to 300 times more oxygen and bringing a greater amount of blood to the area and in doing so, removing the irritants that cause the coughing and easing breathing.
The same article, which was written by Lilias Curtin, who trained with Valerie Dargonne to become one of the U.K’s first accredited magnetic therapists, and one-time therapist to Cherie Blair, utilising pulsed, static and electro-magnetic fields to great effect, advises in older children or with children that are suffering from a bad cold, to place a magnetic both on the front and back of their chest.
Although the benefits of magnetic forms of therapy remain contested and disputed within the world of medicine, with some sharing Lilias Curtin’s view that magnets are an effective alternative treatment to conditions such as asthma and eczema, and others believing these ‘benefits’ are nothing more than a ‘placebo effect’.
It is however somewhat more widely accepted that whatever the effects – real or perceived – magnets do create a greater flow of blood and therefore deliver more oxygen to areas of the body.
In this sense, by increasing the amount of oxygen the capillaries are carrying and bringing greater nutrients to cells, it seems more than plausible that magnetic therapy for asthma would be an effective and, unlike steroid inhalers, a non-invasive treatment of asthma.
