“Well, that very much depends on which golfing gadgets are being used and for what purpose. For example, take the huge advancement in golf course GPS mapping systems. With some of the more advanced models, all a golfer has to do is turn it on and the unit automatically knows which course and hole they are playing. An added bonus being that they definitely help to speed-up the overall pace of play – and that’s got to be a good thing for everyone’s game!”

After long periods of time putting, stroking and diving, it is hardly surprising that both golf professionals and enthusiasts can suffer recurring problems with the wrist, elbow and carpal.
In applying a magnetic force close to the affected area, the energies assimilated from the magnetic fields can provide relief to the pain and discomfort caused by playing frequent rounds of golf.
Although the popularity of magnetic bracelets for golfers extends beyond this type of jewellery’s unique healing powers, as in creating an ionic force, it is widely believed that magnetic bracelets can help improve the performance of golfers.
The magnetic or ionic force that the magnets in the bracelets creates, significantly enhances the ferrous haemoglobin, or iron function, in the red blood cells, which causes a greater supply of oxygen to be distributed to the tissues, joints and muscles.
Magnetic bracelets for golfers offer a greater flow of oxygen reaching these areas of the body, a greater ionic balance in created, particularly in the forearm and wrist tissue and muscles, which can therefore help improve a golfer’s swing and overall form and condition.

Many people believe that as golf is a relatively low-level physical activity where there is little risk of injury or accident.
This could not be further from the truth, as golf, is fairly demanding on the ankles, elbows, spine, knees, hips and wrists, which, without practicing necessary precautions, can result in an injury occurring in one, or even several of these areas. We concentrate on Golf injury and golf prevention tips below.
In fact, so common are golf-related injuries, that in 2009, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reported that there were more than 55,000 visits to hospital emergency rooms due to golf injuries.
The most common types of golf injuries are golfer’s elbow and lower back pain. Golfer’s elbow is the leading injury golfers sustain and is essentially an inflammation of the tendons that attach the forearm muscles to the elbow bone. Lower back pain is the second most common complaint amongst golfers and is usually caused by an inadequate swing, which places a significant amount of pressure on the spine to cause a problem.
There are several preventative measures that golfers can take to help decrease the chances of picking up an injury or be involved in an accident on the golf course.
Stretching exercises
Before a round of golf always do some simple stretching exercises to prepare the muscles for the game. Focus on stretching your back, shoulders and legs and then take some practice shots on the driving range to stretch those muscles.
Drink plenty of water
Do not let yourself become dehydrated whilst playing golf, so always take a bottle of water with you on replace the lost fluids.
Sunscreen
It can get pretty hot on a golf course and even if you don’t think it is that sunny you can get burnt. Always wear plenty of high-protection sunscreen when playing golf in the summer months to protect your skin.

How to prevent golfers elbow with a few simple exercises. Stiffness of the elbow, weakness in the arm and a general restriction of movement are common conditions of golfers’ elbow, conditions which can leave sufferers out of action for weeks.
The chance of contracting this debilitating condition can be drastically reduced if we perform some simple stretches and exercises before, not only playing a round of golf, but before performing other activities that requires repetitive use of the elbow and forearm.
Here are some exercise tips on how to prevent golfers elbow;
Warming up
As warming up increases the flow of blood to the muscles, it is crucial prior to any sport or exercise regime if we are to avoid injury. Warming up can include gently jogging or even walking or static stretching whereby you stretch out your legs and arms, and in increasing the muscle temperature you limit the chances of injury
Whilst warming up the muscles by gently jogging and stretching should be a vital part of your routine prior to playing a sport, to help prevent golfers elbow specifically, there are several specific exercises that you can do to help strengthen and condition the muscles in the forearm and wrist.
These exercises are simple and should not be strenuous.
Wrist curls
The wrist curl exercise involves placing a lightweight dumbbell in your hand and lowering the weight of it to the end of your fingers. Slowly curl the weight back into your palm and then curl up your wrist to lift the weight an inch or two higher. Repeat time times with each hand.
